Blogging From Land Line

Now doesn't that sound like a good blog name, not that I will change mine. But that is what I am doing now is blogging from land line. Its been AGES, I wish I could cheek out other peoples blogs but it just takes too long. Long as in an hour to load a page with 10 good sized photos. So now, my photos will be shrinking even more, as uploading them would take me too long.

I defiantly haven’t stopped taking photos, I have been having ALOT of fun. I have tried out so many new things, from light art, to long exposure, thanks to a new little gadget I bought my self a shutter remote, now I just want a shutter cord too. My project 365 is still well under way, I just have WEEKs of catching up to do. So I am hoping once Ms Mar starts school next week, that I will be getting more time in to post things.

I probably wont be taking part in too many contest unless somebody wants to volunteer to link up my sight…. But I am hopefully going to take part regularly on the Photo Hunt Challenge, colour splash Sunday, and I will have to see what als. I really miss reading Ashley Sisk blog. I just loved what I can learn with editing from her.

If anyone is interested, we have been rather busy with Ms Mar turning 5 last week, I still can’t believe how fast the last 5 years have gone by. She will start school here as soon as we have everything finished of with immigration, basically all is ready we are just waiting for the passports back to get her enrolled. She is loving life over here, both kids are. We are out in the country, so they can just go out of the house and play. We have been very lucky with the weather here, since it is fall and winter is coming, but I am in the winterless north of New Zealand. So that means sub tropical weather, the winters are wet but not frizzing, we get the odd frost here but now snow. Though we are still waiting on more of winter to turn up. It has been my weather here since arriving, warm but not HOT, just perfect for jeans and a T. and if you want shorts. So Ms Mar has used her shear of dresses while being here.

I really have to update my reading list, since arriving at my mums she has had a supply of books coming my way, I have been reading lots, everyone goes to bed around 9pm so I read till about midnight before I turn my light out, or on the odd night it has been till 2am, I had one book I just couldn’t put down and read it in 3 days. It was called Blind Faith by Ben Elton, has allot to do with internet and society though playing in the future, the scary thing is if you read it you can see how it just may happen and hope it doesn't ever get that far.I have also read Inconceivable and Chart Throb by Ben Elton. Other wise I have read a few New Zealand stories.

So I am realy hoping to get back to posting soon again, and more regularly, Hope you pop in to say hi again.

Merry Christamss to my self.

Chirstmass has come eurly for me (don't look at my savings accunt) On sunday I found a place selling the Canon 60D under 1000€ with the kit lens. Though with a 2 week wait :( just to get a call the day befor yesterday them telling me they can deliver it urler, sombody had cannceld there order. Anyways yesterday I was waiting all day guess I misunderstod them, there first langwadge isn't german and tommorw and the day after tommorw do not sound too deffernt, morgen (tommorw) übermorgen (the day after tommorw) Now I guess I missed the über part (kids running around and having fun makes a phone call like that even harder) But they said they would be here between 11am and 1pm, So I was waiting at 2pm I had to pick Ms Mar up from kindy. They didn't come in the evning ither, thinking maybe they noted down the wrone time, since they said they could come between 5pm and 9pm.

Well low and behold, today the door bell rings just befor 1pm, but it rings 2x I asume it is family, BUT nope it is the delvery guy. I got my camra, have a look.

Right now the battries are charging, So I have to wait untill they are charged then I can use it. I still cant Bealve I bought this. So Happy chirstmass to my self.

Guess now onto reading the manul, that thing is THIK and in german, they didn't have an english one in there, guessing there will be an english version is on the CD, but somthing like that I find hard to read on the computer. So german it will be.

I also get to take of on of the things to my 26 befor 26.

Trying Very hard

So it was my birthday last week, and I had one thing I wanted to get, and that was a DSLR, I have been looking around, and can't realy justafy spending that money on my self, its not that we don't have it in savings, but I would want dubbel to trippel the ammount that we have to feel ok with spending 1000 of it. I am hoping that by x-mass we will have saved more and with the money we get for x-mass feel better about buying somthing with that amount.

But I did still get my self somthing for my birthday, not a DSLR, but somthing that will still be ALOT of fun. I love the water so do the kids, so what is better then a underwater camara.

I can't wait till the battires are charged, dam 12 hours you should wait for them to be charged. I hope that theas batteries hold longer then in my Canon powershot A720is, as if I am realy taking lots of photos, I end up chaning the batties, like on vacy where I can take 200 photos a day...

We will be going to the pools on Sunday, and this camara is coming with us. I can not wait.

So far, I seem to like that Nikon D90, I think I will look a bit more into the Nikons, all I have ever had and used are canons, it seemed to sit ALOT nicer in my hand, the way I hold a camara my index finger falls strait onto the shuttter button, where as on the Canon it seems like I would get a real bad cramp in my hand after about 10 minuts. What deffently wouldn't be good. I had to tiwist my hand to get my index finger right, LOL, my fingers must just be too long.

I know I haven't been posting much in the last week, Life has kinda gotten bussy, can't say with what yet, TOP SECRET. I am just editing some 10 odd or so pics, that I will try and get up in the next day or so.
