This is the may challenge. I found some of the themes very hard. LOL even more finding a spring activity when Autumn has just hit us with full blast. It is getting cold down here now. No spring in sight. At least I am in the winterless north (who ever thought of that one, it gets cold).

Wind

Clouds getting blown in the wind.

I learnt this back when I was at the hang gliding school (didn’t end up finishing the course because the weather was never really on my side). But when the clouds are pulled long like the yellow ones, it is the wind blowing over them and pulling them out into that shape. You can’t see the wind but you know it is there just the way the clouds are shaped. Now I hope I did remember that correctly.

 

Sprout

Fresh

A freshly lain egg.

 

Vibrant

A monarch butterfly on the plants out side the play centre.

 

Unique

A tiny egg, found in the neighbours chicken house, don’t often come across them this small, I am not sure if it is from a bantam or one of the normal chickens.

 

Wet

A crystals in the morning due.

 

Lines

Sun shining through the bamboo.

A Spring Activity

My mother gardening, Ms Mar and my mother planted garlic and some other stuff for the garden, though this was a Autumn planting and not in spring as in NZ we have Autumn now.

I made a self saucing orange pudding and I was juicing the oranges. Pretty juicy if you ask me..

April Photo Hunt Challenge

So here I am again joining in the fun with the photo hunt challenge. I only really started looking for the photos after the 20th, BUT I had noticed I had a few that already fitted the theme. This month there are only 12 themes.Click image to go to the photo hunt page

Animals

I was taking photos of this one butterfly going crazy, after I had finished taking the photos I noticed it was doing a love dance, as with one hand I was pulling a branch back it was flying behind all the time, that is where the second one was sitting.

Bedroom

This is/was my sisters bedroom, now that I am here I am using it as my bedroom, as you can see I have my little place I have been taking my water drop photos from. I also put in lighter curtains today, basically swapped them around from anther room. I also used the photo merge on photoshop, It id a better job then what I was trying to do.

I had accualy taken this photo befor I had even read the themes for this month. But it is the sun setting in the velly.

In Fashion

Ms Mar loves her fashion, this is how she walks down the valley, tie it in with pink boots the fashion of a 5 year old.

Lawn and Garden

A Kauri snail laying on the lawn. Theas are huge snails that we can find here, I have only seen a hand full of alive ones, but I have found plenty of shells.

Lazy

So I was taking photos of the washing blowing in the breeze (Lazy can’t be bothered taking it down) When Mr Mar Jr walked by and bumped the camera making a cool rotation effect, I bet I couldn’t do that on purpose.

Play Time

The neighbours bought us some toys over one is a car, Mr Mar Jr loves to push it between 2 people like you would usually do with a ball, this is Ms Mar having a go.

Rain and Water

When it started raining while I was making Ms Mar’s birthday cake I ran outside with my camera and got some photos of the rain hitting the pond, shame I didn’t get any fish on the picture too.

Silhouette

While laying in bed one night reading, during the full moon, I took out my camera and took some photos of the trees, and the house, them making the Silhouette, not a classic one but defiantly a silhouette.

Something Tiny

Once again, I had the camara out and some water, this time I was using a thicker food colouring. This is the first drop of food colouring hitting a very shallow pool of water..

Something Huge

What is bigger then the night sky, or universe, who knows..

Texture

My mother owns a mud brick house, that both my parents bulit while I was a kid, this is the wall, lots of textures in a house like this.

Photo Hunt Challenge - October 2010 Photos

This month was quite a bit of a challenge for a few things, But I did get there, head on over to Photo Hunt Challenges to see what everyone ells found, or how they interpreted the theme.

1. In Disguise - Crab in a rock pool

2. Crisp - OK, so I couldn't really think of anything that fitted to crisp, So ride cake CRISPS is what I choose.

3. Fall Colors - Trees reflecting on the water.

4. A Jack O’lantern - Not that this is a really Jack O’lantern, since nobody makes them here I made it out of a Capsicum...

5. a Shot from the Ground - Mr Mar Jr on the cattle yards

6. a Landscape - The vue from the window a Friends b&b

7. a Fall Tradition - We don't really have a fall tradition, But I really LOVE taking the kids out to play in the leaves, I did this last year, so you could say it is kinda a tradition.

8. Books - My books, most of the ones you see are about having kids, raising kids.

9. Dining - The dinner I ate when we went out for my mums birthday.

10. Child/Children - Ms Mar Jumping on a trampoline, I think it looks a bit of Alison in wonderland

11. Faces formed in Nature - Can't see it keep looking "HI"

12. Tilt-Shift Photography - Well I hope this is what it is. I think it kinda works with this photo.

13. B &W with selective coloring- An Autumn leaf.

14. Bokeh - Ok, There is a VERY little bit of Bokeh on there, I haven't quite worked it out, except on Marco setting.

15. Best Photo taken October 23rd - What I love when I stay at my grandparents this is what I get to see out of the bed room window. Where we happened to be on the 23rd of October.

17. Something Vintage - This is the rocking chair that belonged to MR Mar SR grate grandmother.

18. Something Creepy - A Dark Room, LOL, this is the caboard under the stairs, I am sure allot of people would find that creepy, though sadly there is not one spider in that that I could find.

19. Something Golden - This is a bracelet Ms Mar got for her first birthday, but now that she has learnt to take it off and it has despaired to other kids places from kindy I just keep it home.

20. A Self-Portrait - Being a Mummy

Looking fawered to this November, and it should be eser with only have 10 things to find, and life getting back to normal after getting back home from New Zealand.

Photo Hunt Challenge - October 2010

I loved the challange in August finding all the things I can't wait to join in again, though I know october is nerly over, I am going to join in again with the Photo Hunt Challenge for ocotber.

I am write now just sitting at dads on the sofa catching up on some 200+ blog post, so don't wounder if I am not commting on anything. I do not have that much time. I realy need to start looking at the 1000 of photos of things I have taken while I am here. From being all the way on the most sothenst point of new zealand, where the wind didn't let up at all. It was COLD. To the beutifull far north where we had lots of sun shine. I went to the local schools pet day, where kids make little minatur gardens and vaslien plates, I just didn't take photos in the class rooms, and where they bring there pets from Cows to tadpols.

Hi My blogger Frinds

So if anyone is wondering why I haven't been online for the last weeks much, is I have gotten ready to fly half way across the world to surprise my mum for her 50th birthday. We surprised her at my sisters in Dunedin, New Zealand about 4 days after we arrived here. First we were in Auckland at my dads, and since Sunday down here. We will be in New Zealand till the 21st till we fly home so probably not allot of post happening till then.

I hope to get some photos edited and on line, but I wont be linking up to anything, as time is just not on my side for that. Just too much other stuff to do. Sightseeing, we went to the cadbury chocolate factory today. That was soooo fun, love the quiz they do to win chocolates. Yesterday we were at moeraki boulders. Otherwise in Auckland we went to a petting zoo and to the Waiwera hot pools, and I got to try out my new under water camera there, also it was the first time Ms Mar decided to swim with out floaties.

Anyway onto blogging news.
